New book Word Power: Amplifying vocabulary instruction – out August 2019!
A resource for FS, KS1 and KS2 bringing together research and practical classroom ideas, helping teachers to consider the why, what and how of vocabulary instruction. Word Power outlines eight Power-Up strategies for word learning (linked to National Curriculum content and evidence of what works for language development) using the Word Power League of superheroes – Phoneme Phantom, Graphic Guardian, Morpheme Marvel and many others – to help pupils actively investigate and connect words based on their structure, meaning and usage.
